Marek Janowski Celebrates Dresden Memorial Day with Brahms Requiem

Marek Janowski is set to conduct Brahms’ Requiem for the Dresden Memorial Day.

Janowski will conduct the Dresden Philharmonic, which will continue its long tradition of performances on Feb. 13, the Dresden Memorial Day .

The presentation of the famed piece will feature Christina Landshamer as the soprano soloist and baritone Markus Eiche. The MDR radio choir will join the Dresden Philharmonic in the performance which will be broadcast on Deutschlandfunk Kultur.

Janowski has conducted with the Pittsburg Symphony Orchestra, Staatskapelle Dresden, Hambrug State Opera, Monte-Carlo Philharmonic, and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. He has recorded major works by Bruckner, Brahms, Wagner, Beethoven, and Hindemith throughout is career.

The showcase is set to be held at the Kulturpalast, concert hall on Feb. 13, 2020.
