The Luzerner Theater has announced its 2025-26 season. Here are the opera productions.

Brett Sprague, Eyrún Unnarsdóttir, Vladyslav Tlushch, and Judith Schmid star in Britten’s “Peter Grimes.” Jonathan Bloxham conducts the new production by Wolfgang Nägele.

Jennifer O’Loughlin stars in Verdi’s “Luisa Miller” alongside André Baleiro, Michael Hauenstein, Jenish Ysmanov, Cláudia Ribas, and Marcela Rahal.

Rueben Mbonambi, Luca Bernard, Michael Temporal Darell, Tania Lorenzo Castro, HenrietteSchein, Elvira Margarian, and Vladyslav Tlushch star in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte.”

“Da geh ich zu Maxim!” will star Luca Bernard, Solenn’ Lavanant Linke, Elvira Margarian, Robert Maszl, Piero Regis, Vladyslav Tlushch, and Eyrún Unnarsdóttir. Jonathan Bloxham conducts.

Premiere Dates: Dec. 31, 2025


“La Tragédie de Carmen” will feature Josy Santos, Marcela Rahal, Hwapyeong Gwon, Esther Aline Schneider, and Vladyslav Tlushch. Paul-Boris Kertsman conducts the production by Ulrike Schwab.
