Madison Lyric Stage has announced its 10th anniversary season.

The company will present four productions starting with a double bill in May. All performances will be held in a new tent on the grounds of the Deacon John Grave House.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating our tenth year serving the shoreline community, and we couldn’t be more excited to be doing so in a brand-new tent,” said Marc Deaton, Artistic Director of Madison Lyric Stage, in an official press statement. “Our audiences have told us that they feel most comfortable in an outdoor environment, so we have made a significant investment in our infrastructure, including new lighting and sound equipment, to provide audiences with the best and safest entertainment experience possible.”

The season kicks off with “The Seven Deadly Sins” and “Curlew River.” Nathaniel Baker will conduct the production.

Performance Dates: May 12-15, 2022

Next up will be “Sweeney Todd” starring Marc Deaton and Val Moranto. Kelly Horsted conducts.

Performance Dates: June 9-19, 2022

Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson’s “Pippen” is next with Will Nash Broyles in the title role and Jamal Green as Leading Player. Nathaniel Baker conducts.

Performance Dates: July 21-31, 2022

The season will draw to a close with “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” Rebecca Ellis and John Johmann star in the work.
