Marble City Opera to Open Season with Baritones, Boots, & Bats

Marble City Opera is set to open its  13th season on Sept. 14, 2025 with a concert titled “Baritones, Boots, & Bats.”

The performance, which will take place at the Historic Cherokee Caverns, will feature Maurice Hendricks, Daniel Spiotta, and Joel Brown performing a program of opera and musical theater favorites.

The baritones will be accompanied by pianist Dustin Lin.

This will be the fourth time that Marble City Opera presents a concert inside Cherokee Caverns, which are preserved and maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers. The cave is only open for special events, including Marble City Opera’s concerts, classic family movies, Trick or Treat in the Cave, and Christmas in the Cave.

Spiotta recently performed as “Silvio” in Marble City Opera’s production of “Pagliacci” while Hendricks sang the role of “Talpa” in Marble City Opera’s “Il Tabarro.”
