Mailen Ubiedo Myskow’s ‘Conmigo o con nadie’ Takes the Stage This October in Buenos Aires

Composer Mailen Ubiedo Myskow’s “Conmigo o con nadie” will take the stage on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, at Hasta Trilce in Bueno Aires, Argentina.
The performance will be conducted by Mariana Ferrer, who leads the Orquesta Atípica de Nuevos Aires.
The work is based on the femicide of Felicitas Guerrero in 1872 by Enrique Ocampo. The opera presents Felicitas’ murder as a parallel narrative to that of María, a girl from the 21st century who finds herself harassed and abused by her partner. The opera was previously presented in Buenos Aires in 2022 at the Teatro Hasta Trilce. It also had performances in Bahía Blanca as part of the Festival Ópera Independiente del Sur, in the Province of Buenos Aires.
The opera recently premiered online this past July.
