By Francisco Salazar

The Maggio Musicale di Fiorentino is set to reopen on April 26.

The theater will reopen to the public with a concert conducted by Daniele Gatti on April 26 and will be followed by the premiere of “Adriana Lecouvreur” on April 27, 2021.

Gatti will conduct an all-Stravinsky program while “Adriana Lecouvreur” will star Maria Jose Siri, Martin Muehle, Nicola Alaimo, and Ksenia Dudnikova. The Cilea opera will be conducted by Daniel Harding and directed by Frederic Wake-Walker. The opera will be performed for four performances until May 6, 2021.

The news comes as the Teatro La Fenice is also set to reopen on April 26 and Italy starts to ease restrictions. Theaters, museums, and cinemas will be allowed to reopen, while restaurants will be able to serve people at outdoor tables for both lunch and dinner.
