On April 26, the Italian region of Veneta will become a yellow zone allowing theaters in the area to reopen.

The Teatro La Fenice announced that if confirmed, it will reopen its theater to the public for its upcoming Verdi e la Fenice concert to the public.

In a statement superintendent, Fortunato Ortombina said, “We are waiting for definite confirmation for this long-awaited reopening. We are aware that there are many factors involved for the region to become a yellow zone.”

If the theater is able to reopen it will be with a reduced capacity and it will still offer the concert via live stream on its website and on YouTube.

Verdi e la Fenice will be presented on April 26 and will feature Michele Pertusi and Luca Salsi in a program featuring music from “Ernani,” “Attila,” “Rigoletto,” “La traviata,” and “Simon Boccanegra.” Riccardo Frizza will conduct the evening which will also fetaure Chiara Brunello, Cristiano Olivieri, Armando Gabba, and Matteo Ferrara.
