The Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogotá, Colombia has announced its 2022 programming.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be on vocal performances.

Tenor Ramón Vargas will kick the season off with a recital performance. 

Performance Date: Jan. 27, 2022 

Soprano Veronica Cangemi will also perform in recital.

Performance Date: April 8, 2022

Superstar tenor Piotr Beczala will appear in Colombia for the first time.

Performance Date: April 30, 2022

The company will present Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” under the direction of Pedro Salazar and conductor Martin Haselböck. The cast will be announced at a later date.

Performance Dates: August 30, Sept. 1 & 4, 2022

Mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kozená will perform alongside the Venice Baroque Orchestra.

Performance Date: Sept. 23, 2022
