Magali Simard-Galdès, Daniel Moddy, Jacob Perry, Drew Santini Headline Early Music Vancouver’s 2025 Summer Season

Early Music Vancouver has unveiled its 2025 festival lineup. Here is a look at the vocal performances on offer.
First up is “Forgotten Harmonies: Schubert and Friends.” The showcase features soprano Magali Simard-Galdès alongside natural horn player Simon Poirier and pianist Olivier Godin. The performance will take place at Christ Church Cathedral.
Performance Date: August 1, 2025
Simard-Galdès returns for “Bach Cantatas: The Ascent.” Joining her are alto Daniel Moddy, tenor Jacob Perry, bass Drew Santini, and the PBO under Alexander Weimann. The performance will take place at Christ Church Cathedral.
Performance Date: August 5, 2025
The season ends with Mozart’s “Requiem” featuring the same vocalists from the Bach Cantatas: Simard-Galdès, Moddy, Perry, and Drew Santini. Weimann leads the PBO and Vancouver Cantata Singers for a performance at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts.
