Lyric Opera of Chicago Announces New Member to Board of Directors

Jennie Huang Bennett has been appointed to the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Board of Directors.

Bennett is the current Associate Vice President for Finance at the University of Chicago and has also worked as the Chief Financial Officer for Chicago Public Schools. She also has experienced as a senior investment banker in municipal securities and served as acting Chief Internal Auditor and Treasurer.

Additionally, she has held positions on such boards as the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, and the Chicago Opera Theater.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennie Huang Bennett to our Board of Directors,” said Sylvia Neil, Board Chair of Lyric Opera of Chicago, in an official press statement issued by the company. “Her exceptional financial experience and dedication to public service make her a valuable addition to our leadership team.”
