The Viennese Opera Ball in New York City is set to return on May 10, 2024, at the Plaza Hotel with several opera stars.

This year the event will include American tenor Limmie Pulliam, American baritone and Grammy Award Winner Lucas Meachem, who will perform courtesy of the Metropolitan Opera, American soprano and Grammy Award Winner Leah Crocetto, and opera singers German soprano Johanna Will and American bass-baritone Christian Pursell.

This year’s ball is inspired by the opera “Aida” and will benefit the music therapy program at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with support from Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research. The Gala Chairs for the Viennese Opera Ball will be Denise Rich and Jean Shafiroff.

Last year’s gala saw opera singers  Stephen Costello, Joyce El-Khoury, Nathalie Peña-Comas, and Johanna Will perform in an evening that was inspired by the opera “Carmen.”
