Louise Alder, Beth Taylor, Ana Vieira Leite, Nick Pritchard Headline Monteverdi Choirs & Orchestras’ 2025-26 Season

The Monteverdi Choirs & Orchestras unveiled their 2025-26 season.

First up is a series of performance alongside conductor Pablo Heras-Casado and the Orchestre Révolutionaire et Romantique in London and Rimini. They will take on Mozart’s “Requiem” with such soloists as Louise Alder, Eva Zaicik, Laurence Kilsby and William Thomas, as well as Schubert’s Symphony No. 5, and Bach’s motet “Singet dem Hern.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 19 & 21, 2025


Then comes a program dedicated to Rossini. The showcase will be led by Jakob Lehman and features scenes from “Ermione” and the “Stabat Mater. Soloists include Beth Taylor, Ana Maria Labin, Hannah Ludwig, Alasdair Kent and Anthony Robin Schneider. The program will take place at London’s Cadogan Hall.

Performance Dates: Oct. 2, 2025


Then comes Händel’s “Messiah” led by Christophe Rousset with such soloists as Ana Vieira Leite, Dame Sarah Connolly, Andrew Staples, and William Thomas. The performances will take place at Église Saint-Roch in Paris, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the legendary Teatro alla Scala in Milan and London’s St Martin-in-the-Fields.

Performance Dates: Dec. 10-16, 2025


In 2026, there will be performances of Bach’s “St. John Passion” with Nick Pritchard, Konstantin Krimmel, Anna Dennis and Rebecca Leggett. Performances will take place at  Palau de la Musica, Barcelona and St Stephen’s Basilica, Budapest. There will also be a London performance.

Performance Dates: March 6-10 & April 3, 2026


There will also be a site-specific performance of “Dido & Aeneas” under the hull of Cutty Sark. Jonathan Sells conducts.
