L’Orchestre de l’Agora Announces 2023-24 Season

Canadian company L’Orchestre de l’Agora has unveiled its 10th season. Here is a look at the vocal performances on offer.

First up is “L’Incoronazione di Poppea.” Nicolas Ellis conducts a cast starring Ilanna Starr, Emma Fekete, Ian Sabourin, Sophie Naubert, Rachèle Tremblay, and Chelsea Kolic, among others. Aria Umezawa directs.

Performance Dates: Nov. 18 & 19, 2023

Next up is “Big Bang #2 – Somme de la creation” which features Ian Cusson’s “Récital des Anges” with soloist Elisabeth St.-Gelais. The concert also includes works by Nicolas Gilbert, Maggie Ayotte, and Wlad Marhulets.

Performance Dates: Nov. 25, 2023

Next up is “Festival Bach de Montréal” conducted by Nicolas Elis. The performance will feature such vocal soloists as Myriam Leblanc, Nicholas Burns, Daniel Johannsen, and Matthias Helm.

Performance Dates: Nov. 29, 2023

Closing out the season is the “Gala de la Terre” which will feature music by Strauss, Wagner, and Claudie Bertounesque. Elisabeth St-Gelais is the soloist and Nicolas Ellis conducts.

Performance Dates: June 12, 2024
