After a two-year hiatus due to Covid -19, the Llangollen Eisteddfod Competition will take place this summer July 7 -10.

Applications to participate are now open on the organization’s website.

The competition will have over 20 categories and now offer a hybrid version where participants can compete virtually. Other new components include show choirs, young composers, solo singing, young folk instrumental ensembles, and more.

“We can’t wait to welcome friends from all over the world to experience the true meaning of Eisteddfod; friendly competition and a shared joy in performing, all in the beautiful surroundings of Llangollen, North Wales. In addition to our new digital hybrid format, applicants may notice some other changes to our competitions this year, which we hope will inspire them to come and join us for our 75th anniversary celebrations,” Executive Producer Camilla King said in an official statement.
