L’Académie de l’Opéra national de Paris Announces 2026-27 Season

L’Académie de l’Opéra national de Paris’ 2026-27 season is released.
The opening concert of the Academy introduces the new artists in residence in an evening of arias and ensembles by Haydn, Mozart, and Gluck. Sopranos Daria Akulova, Neima Fischer, Ana Oniani, Lorena Pires, mezzo-sopranos Winona Berry, Grace Heldrgidge, Amandine Portelli, tenors Matthew Goodheart, Yiming Liu, baritones Kirill Odinstov, Yurii Strakhov, and bass-baritone Kevin Arboleda-Oquendo perform. Yvonne Sembene directs and Polina Lebedieva conducts.
Performance Date: Sept. 24, 2026
The artists in residence at the Academy perform lieder by Robert Schumann, Gustav Mahler, and Richard Strauss.
Performance Date: Oct. 14, 2026
Artists from the Paris Opera Ballet and Academy present an evening of dance and music at the Salle des Trois Fleuves.
Performance Dates: Oct. 22 & 23, 2026 & April 9 & 10, 2027
To celebrate the end of the year, the artists of the Academy offer a musical journey between the Old Continent and the New World, from cabaret to musical theatre, from operetta to zarzuela.

At the Academy artists’ gala, singers and musicians in residence perform with the Paris Orchestra conducted by Giulio Cilona at the Palais Garnier.
Performance Date: Jan. 26, 2027
Victoria Sitjà directs the Academy’s artists in residence in “Ce qui brûle en silence.” Evann Loget-Raymond conducts.
Performance Dates: March 11 – April 2, 2027
Resident artists give a recital featuring the music of Kurt Weill to Victoria Poleva.
Performance Date: April 29, 2027
The concert, “Melody Salves” features music by Tchaikovsky, Havrylets, Shostakovich, and Rachmaninoff.
Performance Date: May 20, 2027
Up next is a concert with works by Erik Satie, Maurice Yvain, Henri Christiné, Francis Poulenc, and Jean Wiener.
