The Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, will host the 7th Éva Marton International Singing Competition in late August and early September 2026.
The competition, set to take place from August 30 – Sept. 6, 2026, will offer a total prize fund exceeding €70,000. In addition to the main prizes, outstanding participants may receive scholarships, concert invitations, and special awards.
The international jury is chaired by Prof. Emer. KS. Éva Marton and includes Miguel Lerín, Peter Mario Katona, Anatoli Goussev, Vittorio Terranova, Dmitrij Vdovin, Andrea Meláth, and Szilveszter Ókovács.
New to the panel is Turkish-German soprano Deniz Uzun, winner of the Eva Marton Prize in 2021, whose career includes the Komische Oper Berlin, Teatro Real Madrid, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, a US tour with the Cleveland Orchestra, and an upcoming engagement at Opéra Marseille.
Applicants aged 18–32 (women) and 18–35 (men) submit two video recordings for pre-selection. The pre-jury, led by Éva Marton, will notify selected participants in May 2026. Live preliminaries require one of Liszt’s songs.
The competition will be broadcast online.
The Éva Marton International Singing Competition is held biennially since 2014 and a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC) since 2018.
