Lise Lindstrom Jumps In For ‘Siegfried’ In Germany

Lise Lindstrom has announced that she will sing the role of Brünnhilde in Wagner’s “Siegfried” at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.

The soprano announced via social media that she would be jumping in for a colleague this Sunday Feb. 3, 2019 and the following weekend. She said, “I am thrilled to be asked to sing Brünnhilde in Duisburg this Sunday and next. Come see last minute Jump In to Siegfried with Deutsche Oper am Rhein!!!”

The soprano joins a cast that includes Corby  Welch in the title role, Cornel Frey as Mime, James Rutherford as the Wanderer, and Stefan Heidemann as Alberich. 

Axel Kober is set to conduct performances on Feb. 3 and 10. The opera will also be presented in May with a new cast.
