Lincoln Center at Home to Present Rare Concert by Jessye Norman

Lincoln Center at Home is set to present a unique and rarely seen performance by iconic soprano Jessye Norman from 1997.

The concert, entitled “A Celebration of Johannes Brahms with Jessye Norman,” will be streamed on the company’s Facebook page on April 28, 2020 at 5 :30 p.m. ET and features the famed artists alongside violist Pinchas Zukerman. The concert was comprised of music by Brahms, including his Quintet for Strings Op. 111, Quintet for Piano and Strings, Op. 34, and two songs for soprano, viola, and piano, Op. 91.

The concert originally took place on May 4, 1997.

The iconic diva performed around the world throughout her career, taking on some of the greatest operas ever written. She was also a noted recitalist who passed away last September 2019.
