Limmie Pulliam, Asmik Grigorian, Liv Redpath, Malin Byström, Christian Gerhaher Headline The Cleveland Orchestra’s 2025-26 Season

The Cleveland Orchestra has unveiled its 2025-26 season at Severance Music Center. Here is a rundown of the vocal performances on offer.

Franz Welser Möst conducts a program of works by Strauss, Ravel, and Bern Richard Deutsch’s “Urworte” with The Cleveland Orchestra and Chorus.

Performance Dates: Sept. 26 – 28, 2025

Limmie Pulliam and Iurii Samoilov are the soloists for Mahler’s “Das Lied von der Erde.” Welser-Möst conducts the program, which also includes Honegger’s Third Symphony.

Performance Dates: Oct. 2 -5, 2025

Welser-Möst conducts Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with Joélle Harvey, Taylor Raven, Miles Mykkanen, and Dashon Burton as the soloists.

Performance Dates: Oct. 23 – 26, 2025

Händel’s “Messiah” will feature Liv Redpath, Tim Mead, Andrew Haji, and Philippe Sly as the soloists. Bernard Labadie conducts.

Performance Dates: Dec. 4 – 6, 2025

Asmik Grigorian, Deniz Uzun, Joshua Guerrero, and Tareq Nazmi as the soloists in Verdi’s Requiem, conducted by Welser-Möst.

Performance Dates: Jan. 15 – 18, 2026

Johanna Wallroth is the soprano soloist for “Knoxville: Summer of 1915.” Barbara Hannigan conducts the program, which also includes works by Crumb, Ruggles, and Gershwin.

Performance Dates: Feb. 12 & 14, 2026

Daniel Harding conducts Britten’s “War Requiem” starring Tamara Wilson, Andrew Staples, and Christian Gerhaher.

Performance Dates: April 23 – 26, 2026

Welser-Möst conducts “Fidelio” with Malin Byström, David Butt Philip, Tomasz Konieczny, Martin Summer, Dashon Burton, Ashley Emerson, and Owen McCausland.

Performance Dates: May 16 – 24, 2026
