
Lily Mo Browne Wins Top Prize at Kathleen Ferrier Competition

The first prize went to the mezzo Lily Mo Browne and the second to the tenor Philippe Durrant.
Browne is a Young Artist of the Verbier Festival Academy’s Atelier Lyrique.
Meanwhile, the Ferrier Loveday Song Prize went to the mezzo-soprano Ellen Pearson, and the Help Musicians Accompanist’s Prize to Francesca Lauri.
This year’s jury included Jonathan Lemalu, Ann Murray, Joan Rodgers, Roger Vignoles, and chair, Patricia Rozario.
Past winners have included Emma Roberts, Avishka Edirisinghe, Hugh Cutting, Laura Peresivana, and Helen Charlston.
The Kathleen Ferrier Award is a prestigious contest for opera singers held each April in London, England. The first competition was held in 1956.
