Les Talens Lyriques to Present ‘Live on Arte’ Concert

By Logan Martell

On November 8, 2020, Les Talens Lyriques is set to perform a selection of arias from Handel Italian operas, held at the Théâtre du Châtelet.

Led by director Christophe Rousset, the ensemble will be joined by soprano Sandrine Piau and mezzo Eve-Maud Hubeaux. Both artists have performed extensively with the organization over the years.

The program will draw from Handel’s most dramatic operas, with arias from “Agrippina,” “Giulio Cesare,” “Solomon,” Alcina,” “Il Pastor Fido,” and “Tamerlano.” The concert comes in coproduction with the Les Talens Lyriques Circle of Patrons and will be broadcast on the company’s Facebook page.

In January, LTL will continue its 2020-21 season with a new recording of Salieri’s “Armida.” In April, Les Talens Lyriques will perform a run of Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater” in London’s Wigmore Hall in late March and early April.
