Les Arts Florissants is set to collaborate with Qwest TV, a global video platform, to offer the exclusive broadcast of the film “Charpentier, Grands Motets” recorded at Versailles’ Royal Chapel.
While the original concert program was canceled at the Royal Chapel at Versailles and at La Coursive in La Rochelle, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this production was filmed on February 28, 2021 without a live audience at the splendid Royal Chapel at Versailles.
The “Charpentier, Grands Motets” film will be available on Qwest TV starting April 9th.
The project is made possible with support from the American Friends of Les Arts Florissants, who also sponsored the filming of Haydn’s Paris Symphony no.87, released on January 11, 2021, and is an opportunity of a lifetime to experience.
Founded in 1979 by William Christie, who is Musical Co-Director along with Paul Agnew, Les Arts Florissants is a renowned musical ensemble that specializes in Baroque music.
