Leonardo Capalbo Joins ‘Tosca’ Cast at La Monnaie

La Monnaie has announced a cast change for its upcoming production of Puccini’s “Tosca.”

The Belgium company announced that Leonardo Capalbo will join the cast for two performances. Capalbo will perform on June 30 and July 2 and will join a cast that includes Myrto Papatanasiu and Dimitri Tiliakos.

Capalbo is a rising star who has performed at the Teatro Real de Madrid, Komische Oper Berlin, Grange Opera Park, Opera Vlaanderen, and the Royal Swedish Opera, among others.

“Tosca” opens on June 11 and is also set to star Davinia Rodriguez in the title role as well as Pavel Cernich, Andrea Care, and Laurent Naori. Alain Altinoglu conducts the production by Rafael R. Villalobos.
