L’Ensemble Caprice & l’Ensemble ArtChoral to Perform Bach’s Mass in B Minor
By David SalazarL’Ensemble Caprice and l’Ensemble ArtChoral will perform Bach’s “Mass in B minor” on May 26 and 28, 2023.
The first performance is set for May 26 at the Maison symphonique de Montréal with the latter expected to take place at Salle Raoul-Jobin in Québec.
“It is made up of a perfect symbiosis of different musical styles of the baroque era, comprised of choral music, solo, orchestral, and operatic music that Bach fuses harmoniously to create a unified and impactful work of art, “ said Matthias Maute, the music director of both ensembles, in an official press statement.
Bach’s famed Mass was completed in 1749, one year before the composer’s death.
