Leah Crocetto, Aleks Romano & Hei-Kyung Hong To Headline North Carolina Opera’s 2018-19 Season

The North Carolina Opera’s 2018-19 season has been announced, featuring three operas and one recital. The season will showcase many rising stars and some of today’s biggest international artists.

The season with a concert performance of Bellini’s “Norma” in a concert performance. Leah Crocetto sings the title role alongside Elizabeth DeShong and Chad Shelton. Anthony Walker conducts the performance at the Meymandi Concert Hall.

Performance Date: Oct. 21, 2018

Aleks Romano sings the title role in Bizet’s “Carmen” with Sean Panikkar as Don José and Raquel Gonzalez as Micaëla. Richard Ollarsaba rounds out the cast as Escamillo and Keitaro Harada conducts.

Performance Dates: Jan. 25-27, 2019

Puccini’s “Tosca” takes the stage with Alexandra LoBianco in the title role and Scott Quinn as Cavaradossi. Malcolm MacKenzie sings the villainous role of Scarpia while Joseph Rescigno conducts.

Performance Dates: April 5-7,  2019

International star Hei-Kyung Hong gives a special recital featuring opera arias and songs.
