
Latvian National Opera to Host Star-Studded ‘Aida’ with Marina Rebeka, Elīna Garanča & Ludovic Tézier
By Francisco SalazarOn March 15 and 17, the Latvian National Opera is set to host a star studded production of “Aida.”
The production will star two of Latvia’s brightest opera stars, Marina Rebeka and Elīna Garanča as Aida and Amneris. They will be joined by baritone Ludovic Tézier as Amonasro in his first appearance in Latvia and tenor Irakli Kakhidze was Radames.
The performances will be conducted by Italian conductor Lorenzo Passerini.
In a statement, Astra Irmeja-Šēfere, Member of the Board of the Latvian National Opera and Ballet said, “We are truly proud to bring together such outstanding artists on the stage of the Latvian National Opera this spring. This event is special in the history of our opera house, and we are delighted to share this moment with our audience.”
