
Latonia Moore, Erin Morley, Daniela Barcellona, & Lawrence Brownlee Lead Opera Carolina’s 2025-26 Season

The season opens with Pergolisi’s Stabat Mater performed in remembrance of the events of 9/11. Corey Lovelace and Leyla Martinucci star alongside the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and conductor Emily Jarrell Urbanek.
Performance Date: Sept. 11, 2025
“A Night To Remember” will feature music by Giacomo Puccini. This gala concert will be held at the prestigious Belk Theater, featuring Artists from around the world: Serbia, Ukraine, Russia, Korea, Cuba, Mexico, Italy, South Africa, and more. The concert, in collaboration with the Festival Puccini of Torre del Lago.
Performance Date: Nov. 1, 2025
The Bella Notte 2025 will ring in the New Year with timeless elegance at Opera Carolina’s Bella Notte Masquerade Gala.
Performance Date: Dec. 31, 2025
“Suor Angelica” & “Gianni Schicchi” will star Latonia Moore, Daniela Barcellona, Natale De Carolis, and Eric Ferring. Maestro Stefano Vignati, Music Director and Principal Conductor of Opera Carolina, will conduct.
Performance Dates: Jan. 16, 17, and 18, 2026
“Lift Every Voice and Sing Concert” will honor the rich legacy and transformative contributions of African American artists and composers to the world of opera and classical music.
Performance Date: Feb. 28, 2026
“The Medium” will star Denyce Graves. She will also debut.
Performance Dates: April 17, 18, & 19, 2026
Erin Morley and Lawrence Brownlee’s “The Golden Age” will be performed in concert. Gerald Martin Moore accompanies.
Performance Date: May 2, 2026
“The Magic Flute” will conclude the season in a co-production with the Teatro Sociale of Como, Italy.
Performance Date: June 26, 27, & 28, 2026
