On June 14, LA Opera is set to present Renée Fleming & Friends, an evening devoted to beloved songs and Broadway showstoppers.

Fleming will be joined by three celebrated guest artists, Tituss Burgess, Lindsay Mendez, and Jessie Mueller, making their first appearances with the company. This is a rare opportunity to hear artists from Broadway and opera performing together. Doug Peck will be the pianist.

The concert will be a reunion between Fleming and Tituss Burgess, who first performed together at the Sing for Hope’s 10th anniversary gala in 2016. More recently, he performed in tribute to her when she was recognized for her contributions to American culture at the 2023 Kennedy Center Honors, which was televised on CBS.

In 2018, when Fleming starred as Nettie Fowler in the Broadway revival of “Carousel,” appearing with Jessie Mueller as Julie Jordan and Lindsay Mendez as Carrie Pipperidge, all three earned Tony Award nominations for their performances, with Mendez winning as Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
