The LA Opera has announced a cast change for its performance on Oct. 7, 2023, of “Don Giovanni.”

The company said Tiffany Townsend will be stepping into the role of Donna Elvira in Isabel Leonard’s place for this evening’s performance of “Don Giovanni.”

This marks the second performance Townsend performed following the Oct. 4 performance where she also replaced Leonard. Townsend is a soprano who has performed with the Long Beach Opera, Wolf Trap Opera,  the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the Bakersfield Symphony, and the New Jersey Symphony. 

The soprano is set to join a cast that includes Lucas Meachem, Craig Colclough, Guanqun Yu, Anthony León, Meigui Zhang, Peixin Chen, and Alan Williams. James Conlon conducts the production by Kasper Holten.
