Soprano Kristina Mkhitaryan has canceled all her upcoming performances.

The soprano took to social media and said, “Dear friends, for family reasons I have withdrawn from four of my upcoming engagements: Frankfurt(Gilda), San Diego(Juliette), Vienna(Norina), and New York(Gilda). I am sad I will not be able to perform in these fabulous houses this season, but I will be back very soon with amazing roles in exciting productions! See you in the autumn 2022!”

As a result, the upcoming performances of “Rigoletto” in Frankfurt will be shared by Zuzana Marková and Florina Ilie. Meanwhile, the role of Norina in “Don Pasquale” will be performed by Ruth Iniesta and performances of “Rigoletto” at the Metropolitan Opera will be sung by Erin Morley

The San Diego Opera has yet to announce a replacement for Mkhitaryan for the role of Juliette in “Romeo et Juliette.”
