Korea’s National Opera Studio to Present ‘Die Fledermaus’

The Korean National Opera’s National Opera Studio Youth Education Group will present Strauss II’s “Die Fledermaus” on Oct. 11 and 12, 2024.

The showcase will feature members of the education group in prominent roles. David Lee, assistant conductor of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra will make his company debut at the podium.

The operetta will be directed by Kim Dong-Il.

Both performances will take place at the National Theater Haeoreum.

The National Opera Studio was started in 2021 and has led to over 21 students winning or placing high in domestic and international competitions. Among the major alumni are baritone Taehan Kim, bass Inho Jeong, and soprano Yewon Han.
