The Kennedy Center is finding another way use Donald J. Trump’s name as a branding opportunity.

CBS News is reporting that the performing arts center will establish a new endowment in President Trump’s name to support previously existing private endowments and its $257 million in federal funding.

The new endowment was created after a board meeting on Thursday, June 11, with the Trump loyalist members voting unanimously to acknowledge the president’s contributions to the center by all legal means.

In a statement, Roma Davari, Vice President of Public Relations at the Kennedy Center said, “The establishment of the Trump Kennedy Center Fund is intended to recognize President Donald J. Trump’s significant contributions and dedication to America’s premier cultural center, while furthering our founding mission like never before.”

The news comes as the President’s name was taken off the Kennedy Center after a judge ruled that the performing arts center’s renaming was illegal. The letters of the president’s name were taken off the facade of the center in the early hours of June 13 with a tarp covering the process. The tarp remains covering John F. Kennedy’s name and according to multiple reports will be up indefinitely until the marble is repaired.
