
Katia Ricciarelli & Alessandro Lora Among Recipients of 2025 Caruso Tribute Prize
By David SalazarFamed soprano Katia Ricciarelli and Italian tenor Alessandro Lora are set to receive the Caruso Tribute Prize.
They will be honored on Oct. 14, 2025, alongside entrepreneur Santo Versace, Joseph Scelsa (Italian American Museum), Silvana Mangione (CGIE), Nicola Pisaniello, and Enrico Zanon. The ceremony will be hosted by Veronica Maya, with RAI journalist Nicola Santini.
The international award—conceived by Dante Mariti and produced by Melos International—honors the legacy of legendary Neapolitan tenor Enrico Caruso (1873–1921).
“It is an immense honor to receive the Caruso Tribute Prize once again,” said Lora, who won the prize in 2024, per an official press release. “This recognition reaffirms my deep connection to a tradition that transformed opera into a universal language. Caruso’s legacy continues to inspire me to bring the beauty of opera to audiences around the world.”
Lora will also perform in a tribute concert at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. He will perform alongside soprano Chiara Cremaschi, pianist Alessandro Marini, and Spanish singer Amalia on Oct. 12, 2025.
