Karita Mattila, Ausrine Stundyte, Heidi Stober & Christina Landshamer Lead Dresdner Philharmonie’s 2025-26 Season

The Dresdner Philharmonie has announced its 2025-26 season. Here is a look at the vocal performances.

Gunter Berger conducts the Children’s Choir with Malte Arkona moderating.

Performance Date: Sept. 28, 2025

Hans-Christoph Rademann conducts Bach’s Mass in B Minor with Christina Landshamer, Marie Henriette Reinhold, Patrick Grahl, and Matthias Winckhler.

Performance Date: Oct. 3, 2025

The music of Astor Piazzolla, Wojciech Kilar, and Martin Palmieri headline a program entitled “Tango Mass.” The soloists will include Gabriela Vermelho, Jakub Jedlinský, and Kateřina Ochmanová.

Performance Date: Oct. 31, 2025

Gergely Madaras conducts Jan Müller-Wieland’s “The Traveler” with Ulrich Noethen, Birgit Minichmayr, Kangyoon Shine Lee, and Julian Orlishausen.

Performance Date: Nov. 9, 2025

Gunter Berger conducts the Adevnet Citizen’s Choir.

Performance Date: Dec. 7, 2025

The Christmas concert “Once the Lights Are Lit” will be conducted by Gunter Berger.

Performance Dates: Dec. 21-24, 2025

Sakari Oramo conducts Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with soloists Anu Komsi, Susan Zarrabi, Peter Tantsits, and Arttu Kataja.

Performance Dates: Dec. 30 & 31, 2025

Emmanuel Tjeknavorian conducts Tara Erraught in a program of music by Dora Pejačević, Alma Mahler, and Antonín Dvořák.

Performance Dates: Feb. 28 & March 1, 2026

Sir Donald Runnicles will conduct Strauss’ “Elektra” with Karita Mattila, Ausrine Stundyte, Elisabeth Teige, Thomas Blondelle, and Albert Pesendorfer.

Performance Dates: March 12 & 15, 2026

Sir Donald Runnicles conducts Maurice Duruflé’s “Requiem” with Heidi Stober, Karis Tucker, Markus Eiche, and Thomas Ospital. The program also includes music by Debussy.

Performance Date: March 28, 2026

Gunter Berger conducts the Dresdner Schulchöre.

Performance Date: April 28, 2026

James MacMillan conducts a choral concert of music by Arvo Pärt, Sir James MacMillan, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Benjamin Britten.
