Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra Names New President & CEO

By David Salazar

The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra has appointed Amy Williams as its next President and CEO, effective May 26, 2026.

Williams was previously CEO of Savannah Philharmonic, a position she held since 2020, and brings nearly two decades of senior leadership experience across the American orchestral landscape, including roles at the Santa Barbara Symphony, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and Camerata Pacifica. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from Ohio State University.

She succeeds Jessica Mallow Gulley, who departed in October 2025 to become President and Managing Director of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Jonathan Martin has served as Interim President and CEO in the interim.

“I am truly excited to lead the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra as the next President and CEO,” Williams said per an official press release, “continuing its great momentum and history of bringing musical programs to life in the concert hall, classrooms, and throughout the region.”
