Juventus Lyrica Launches Online Training & Scholarship Program

By David Salazar

Juventus Lyrica has announced an Online Training and Scholarship Program for young artists from all over Argentina.

It will all start with intensive training by the teacher Adriana Mastrángelo entitled “Alexander Technique Richness, IL MIO TESORO.” The training, which will take place between August 16-21, 2021 will offer new experiences, generating a group space for listening, stimulation and deepening of the voice in the lyrical repertoire.

“My goal is for students to take new tools for individual work. First we will tackle a theoretical-practical group work and then each singer will work individually,” Mastrángelo said in a press release.

Next up will be “APRITE UN PO’QUEGLI OCCHI,” which will explore how to navigate a recitative before engaging in an aria. This session will be held by Luis Gaeta between August 23 and 28. Participants will engage with the differences between recitative and aria, the articulation of words, intonation and tuning in the aria and the dichotomy between text and sound.

Finally, Juventus Lyrica will feature 45-minute online lessons artists who need to reinforce their vocal technique and for beginners who need tools to develop the potential of their own voice. Soprano Eleonora Sancho, mezzo-soprano Mariana Rewerski, soprano Jaquelina Livieri, and tenor Enrique Folger, among others, will be among the teachers for these courses, which will focus on breathing techniques, relaxation, vocal register, and intonation.
