The ABAO Bilbao Opera is set to present “Anna Bolena,” the first title from the Tudor Trilogy by Donizetti.

The work, which is set to be performed between Nov. 19 and 28 at the Euskalduna Bilbao, will star Joyce El-Khoury in her role debut. With Anna Bolena, El-Khoury will have concluded the trilogy having sung “Maria Stuarda” at the Seattle Opera and “Robert Devereux” at the Welsh National Opera.

The soprano will be joined by a cast that includes Silvia Tro Santafé as Giovanna Seymour who has sung “Roberto Devereux” and Norma at the ABAO, Marko Mimica as Enrico, and Celso Albelo as Lord Riccardo Percy. The cast will be rounded out by Anna Tobella in her ABAO debut as Smeton, José Manuel Díaz as Lord Rochefort, and Josep Fadó as Hervey.

Jordi Bernàcer conducts the production by Stefano Mazzonis di Pralafera.
