Joseph Parrish to Perform at Baruch Performing Arts Center

Bass-baritone Joseph Parrish takes the stage at the Baruch Performing Arts Center on Dec. 2, 2023.

In part of the Freda and Aaron Silberman Recital Series, Parrish offers a program of Donizetti, Donaudy, Enrique Granados, Rachmaninov, Mahler, Wolf, Ravel, and more paired with works by Margaret Bonds, Charles Brown, H. Leslie, Adams, and Harry Burleigh.

Parrish was name the winner of the 2022 YCA Susan Wadsworth International Auditions. Recent operatic credits include Dulcamara in Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore,” and Augure in Rossi’s “L’Orfeo” at Juilliard; Spinelloccio in Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi” with Festival Napa Valley, Le Baron de Pictordu in the City Lyric Opera’s production of Viardot’s “Cendrillon.”

Next season he makes his Cincinnati Opera debut in “Don Giovanni.”
