Jonas Kaufmann & Diana Damrau to Perform at Hollywood Bowl

Jonas Kaufmann and Diana Damrau are teaming up for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl alongside conductor Gustavo Dudamel.

The concert on Sept. 12 will showcase the tenor and soprano in 19th-century Viennese waltzes from opera and operetta favorites by Lehár and the Strausses. The concert also features works by Richard Strauss and Suppe.

Dudamel will conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

This is the latest collaboration by Damrau and Kaufmann after performing Lieder in a series of concerts that were released on CD and DVD. The duo will perform in concerts together during the 2025 season in Prague, Essen, Vienna, Paris, Linz, and Barcelona. This season Kaufmann opens the Teatro alla Scala in “La Forza del Destino” while Damrau makes her role debut as the Marschallin in “Der Rosenkavalier” at the Berlin State Opera.

The Hollywood Bowl season will also include performances by Natalia Lafourcade, Midori, Boyz II Men, Camilo, and “The Sound of Music.
