The Bayerische Staatsoper has announced that Jonas Kaufmann’s Liederabend concert on July 13, 2026 has been canceled.

Per an official statement from the company, “It is with great regret that Jonas Kaufmann must cancel tonight’s recital, as his doctor has ordered him to rest his voice due to an infection.”

Kaufmann was set to perform with Helmut Deutsch in a program that included music by Fauré, Liszt, Duparc, Kálmán, Strauß, Benatzky, Stolz, Lehár, and Leopoldi.

The tenor next performs on July 17 with Ludovic Tézier at the Teatro San Carlo in Napoli and at the Puccini Festival with Maria Agresta on July 22, 2026.
