John Holiday to Headline Concert at The Barns at Wolf Trap
By David SalazarJohn Holiday is set to perform at as part of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts’ Chamber Music at The Barns series in 2024-25.
The concert, set for Jan. 19, 2025, will see the renowned countertenor take the stage alongside Jeann-Minette Cilliers for a program featuring works by Price, Bonds, Morris, Gershwin, Howard, and Garner. There will also be songs by Coldplay, Simon & Garfunkel, Bettie Mae Fikes and Rutha Harris, and Oscar Williams, Jr.
Holiday, a Wolf Trap alumnus, has performed with such major opera companies as the Metropolitan Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper (Munich), and Lyric Opera of Chicago, among others. He also famously appeared on “The Voice.”
The Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts’ 2024-25 season will feature a wide range of artists including Norm Lewis, Jim Messina, Viano Quartet, Julia Fischer, Graham Nash, Cherry Poppin-Daddies, the Pan America Symphony Orchestra, and Ari Shapiro.
