
Johan Hartman & Yi-Chun Sarah Tsai Headline Mostly Baroque’s 2026 Concert Series at Adrienne Arsht Center
By David SalazarMiami-based Mostly Baroque will make its Adrienne Arsht Center debut with a three-concert series in the Carnival Studio Theater from Feb. 26–Mar. 1, 2026.
“Mostly Baroque is proud to present an exclusive series showcasing the full breadth of classical performance that audiences love—from opera and oratorio to orchestral, solo choir and solo recitals—all within a three-concert experience,” said Music Director Dr. David O. Hartman, per an official press release. “Our musicians have performed together for more than 25 years in chamber and orchestral settings, and that shared artistry shines through.”
Here is a rundown of the vocal performances on offer.
Bass-baritone and composer Johan Hartman will headline a 60-minute recital featuring Finzi’s “Let Us Garlands Bring” and Jacques Ibert’s “Don Quichotte songs.” Hartman will perform in English, French, German, and Italian, and will also present original selections from his debut EP “Blood and the Moon,” released on Constitution Records.
Performance Date: Feb. 27, 2026
The closing performance features the ensemble’s production of Pergolesi’s “La Serva Padrona,” starring Hartman and soprano Yi-Chun Sarah Tsai. Guest artists include the Miami Oratorio Society, presenting spirituals by Florence Price and choruses from Händel’s “Messiah,” joined by the Mostly Baroque Chamber Orchestra.
