The Choral Arts Society of Washington is set to present a powerful performance of Haydn’s “Creation” on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in The Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

The showcase will be conducted by Artistic Director Marie Bucoy-Calavan and features the Choral Arts Symphonic Chorus and Choral Arts Orchestra. Soloists include Joélle Harvey, Kyle Tomlin, and Joseph Lattanzi. Also featured are CityDance Conservatory Dance Students, and Guest Artists, including CityDance Alumnus Matthew McLaughlin, formerly of Mark Morris Dance Group.

“In a time that often feels marked by destruction, we invite you to embrace renewal through the transcendent beauty of ‘Haydn’s Creation.’ This masterful work celebrates the first seven days of the world, a sacred unfolding of life where the simple yet profound gifts—light, love, nature, and all living things—come into being,” said Marie Bucoy-Calavan, Choral Arts Artistic Director, per an official press release. “Through music, we are reminded to hold gratitude, to see with fresh eyes the wonder woven into the fabric of our daily existence. By joining together in this experience, with the added grace of movement through CityDance and Robert Priore’s inspired choreography, we uplift the spirit and deepen our connection to the divine creativity that flows through all art.”

The performance has a duration of two hours, including the intermission.
