J’Nai Bridges has made her New York Fashion runway debut.
The mezzo-soprano walked the runway at New York Fashion Week on Feb. 11, 2025 during the Frederick Anderson fall 2025 collection showcase. The event was held at the Paradise Club located at Times Square Edition Hotel. The diva also sang the Habanera from Bizet’s “Carmen.”
In a statement to OperaWire, Bridges said, “One of my biggest goals is to show the versatility of not only myself, but also of opera and classical music! When I got the call from Frederick I immediately knew this was a manifestation of my dreams! I was able to merge my love for high fashion and opera and most importantly bring my voice and opera to a new audience. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and I can’t wait for more artistic fusion moments. There is so much power in it!!”
This season Bridges is set to perform “Carmen” at the Wiener Staatsoper and Detroit Symphony.
