On June 27, 2020, Global Citizen and the European Commission will be partnering for a streamed event titled “Global Goal: Unite for Our Future – The Summit & The Concert.”

The event will raise funds in support of marginalized communities and those living in poverty as they battle with the coronavirus.

This event will feature a number of prominent artists, actors, and entertainers such as mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges, who has announced that she will be performing with the LA Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel.

Other artists include Coldplay, Shakira, Usher, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jennifer Hudson, Chris Rock, Hugh Jackman, and more, with the event being hosted by Dwayne Johnson.

Before the concert, the summit will be held, giving world leaders, heads of businesses, and philanthropists the chance to come together in support of the global community, and will feature panel discussions and interviews with experts in their respective fields, moderated by Katie Couric, Mallika Kapur, Morgan Radford, Isha Sesay, and Keir Simmons.
