Jeanine Tesori, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Elkhanah Pulitzer Headline OPERA America’s 2024-25 Season

OPERA America has revealed its 2024-25 Onstage Season.

First up is a conversation with composer Jeanine Tesori ahead of the Met Opera’s premiere of “Grounded.”

Event Date: Sept. 18, 2024

Next up is a conversation with Anthony Roth Costanzo as he takes over as general director of Opera Philadelphia.

Event Date: Oct. 24, 2024

In December comes the 2024 Awards for Digital Excellence.

Event Date: Dec. 2, 2024

Then comes the New Works Showcase.

Event Date: Jan. 16, 2025

Audiences will get a chance to engage with OperaCréole and Opera Lafayette as part of “Creators in Conservation.” The conversation would focus on Edmond Dédé’s 1887 opera “Morgiane, ou Le sultan d’Ispahan,” the oldest known opera by a Black American.

Event Date: Feb. 4, 2025

Closing out the season is a conversation with director Elkhanah Pulitzer, who will direct “Anthony and Cleopatra” at the Metropolitan Opera.

Event Date: April 24, 2025
