
Jeanine De Bique, Peter Scott Drackley, Jennifer Zetlan, Winona Martin & Michael Adams Lead Fort Worth Opera’s 2026-27 Season
By David SalazarFort Worth Opera has announced its 2026-27 season, the company’s 81st, running from September 2026 through April 2027 under General and Artistic Director Angela Turner Wilson.
The season opens with the “Prima Voce Dinner” featuring performances by the Hattie Mae Lesley Resident Artists and a conversation with stage director Chuck Hudson.
Performance Date: Sept. 19, 2026
Trinidadian soprano Jeanine De Bique takes the stage alongside Belgian pianist Aaron Wajnberg for a one-night-only recital at TCU’s Van Cliburn Concert Hall.
Performance Date: Oct. 29, 2026
Stephanie Rhodes Russell conducts and Audrey Chait directs the North Texas premiere of Derrick Wang’s “Scalia/Ginsburg” at the Ridglea Theater, with Peter Scott Drackley in the role of Justice Antonin Scalia, Jennifer Zetlan as Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Andrew Simpson as the Commentator.

Anthony D. Pound directs Menotti’s “Amahl and the Night Visitors” at Stage West Theatre with Cecil Garrison as King Kaspar, Noah Mond as King Melchior, and Lauren Salazar as the Page and Shepherdess.

The 20th Biennial Marguerite McCammon Voice Competition takes place at the Kimbell Art Museum’s Renzo Piano Pavilion.
Performance Date: Feb. 28, 2027
Christian Capocaccia conducts and Chuck Hudson directs Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” at Bass Performance Hall with Winona Martin as Rosina, Michael Adams as Figaro, Minghao Lu as Count Almaviva, Kevin Glavin as Dr. Bartolo, William Guanbo Su as Don Basilio, Emily Pulley as Berta, and Fred Craven as Fiorello.
