
Jason Tramm to Lead New Rochelle Opera as General & Artistic Director
By David SalazarNew Rochelle Opera has announced the appointment of Jason Tramm as its new General and Artistic Director.
Tramm, who is also an educator and arts leader, has held leadership positions with MidAtlantic Opera, Light Opera of New Jersey, New Jersey State Opera, and Teatro Lirico D’Europa. He has also performed with Opera New Hampshire, Palmetto Opera, and Nickel City Opera, among others.
“New Rochelle Opera has always been a vital cultural treasure for our community,” said Tramm, per an official press release. “I am honored to lead this company into its next era, and I look forward to building on its rich legacy by presenting inspiring productions that resonate with both longtime opera lovers and new audiences alike.”
The company will host a “Meet & Greet” with Tramm on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 3:00 p.m. at Asbury Crestwood United Methodist Church in Tuckahoe, NY. The showcase will include a presentation of upcoming season plans, light refreshments, and musical entertainment. Admission is free with reservations required.
New Rochelle Opera was founded in 1985 by Camille Coppola and Billie Tucker.
