Jan Latham-Koenig has been appointed artistic director of the ⁦Festival Puccini⁩ at Torre del Lago.

The director will take the position on June 19, 2023, and his term will be between 2024 and 2026.

Latham-Koenig is the Music Director of Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires and is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Britten-Shostakovich Festival Orchestra.

He has conducted the Zagreb Philharmonic, Buenos Aires Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Philharmonic, Philharmonia, BBC Symphony Orchestra in the UK and in Europe, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Mozarteum Salzburg, Wiener Symphoniker, Tonhalle, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, and Japan Philharmonic, among others. He has made more than 50 recordings both in studio and live for record labels.
