Jacquelyn Wagner, Eduardo Aladrén, Ramona Zaharia, Maria Kataeva, Liana Aleksanyan & Alexey Zelenkov Lead Deutsche Oper am Rhein’s 2025-26 Season

The Deutsche Oper am Rhein has announced its 2025-26 season.

Premiere 

Jacquelyn Wagner, John Matthew Myers, Simon Neal, Hans-Peter König, Anna Sophia Theil, Lavinia Dames, Riccardo Romeo, Henry Ross, Luke Stoker, and Žilvinas Miškinis star in Beethoven’s “Fidelio.” Vitali Alekseenok and Harry Ogg conduct the concert performances. 

Performance Dates: Sept. 10-Oct. 24, 2025


Antonino Fogliani conducts Donizetti’s “Prima La Mamma” in a production by Daniel Kramer.

Performance Dates: Sept. 29-Nov. 22, 2025


Patrick Francis Chestnut and Sebastian Ludwig conducts Marius Schötz & Marthe Meinhold’s “Pinoccohio.” Marius Schötz directs.

Performance Dates: Oct. 30-Dec. 16, 2025


Alexey Zelenkov leads Verdi’s “Nabucco” alongside Eduardo Aladrén, Jussi Myllys, Shavleg Armasi, Liang Li, Young-Doo Park, Svetlana Kasyan, Marigona Qerkezi, Kimberley Boettger-Soller, Anna Harvey, and Ramona Zaharia. Vitali Alekseenok and Katharina Müllner conduct the new production by Ilaria Lanzino.

Performance Dates: Nov. 4, 2025-June 14, 2026


Händel’s “Giulio Cesare di Egitto” will be directed by Michaela Dicu and conducted by Attilio Cremonesi. Anna Harvey, Dennis Orellana, Katarzyna Kuncio, Maximiliano Danta, Tobias Hechler, Roman Hoza, Torben Jürgens, and Annabel Kennedy star.

Sylvia Hamvasi leads Janáček’s “Katja Kabanova” with Rosie Aldridge, Riccardo Romeo, Kimberley Boettger-Soller, Sami Luttinen, Jussi Myllys, and David Fischer. Axel Kober conducts the new production by Tatjana Gürbaca.

Maria Kataeva and Jorge Espino star in Piazzola’s “Maria de Buenos Aires” with Mariano Chiacchiarini conducting a new production by Johannes Erath.

Anno Schreier’s “Die blaue Sau” will be conducted by Harry Ogg and directed by Yaroslavia Kalesidis.

Verdi’s “Il Trovatore” will star Bogdan Baciu, Luiza Fatyol, Ramona Zaharia, Beniamin Pop, and Bogdan Taloș while Jens-Daniel Herzog directs a new production. Antonino Fogliani conducts.

Puccini’s “Il Trittico” will be conducted by Stefano Ranzani. “Gianni Schicchi” will star Alexey Zelenkov, Anna Sophia Theil, Lavinia Dames, Katarzyna Kuncio, Riccardo Romeo, and Andrés Sulbarán, while “Suor Angelica” will star Sylvia Hamvasi and Ramona Zaharia. Finally, “Il tabarro” will include Alexey Zelenkov, Eduardo Aladrén, Sergej Khomov, Žilvinas Miškinis, and Henry Ross.
